can someone tell me how to make graphics, and animate them?

Can someone tell me how to get old and live happily?

Ask a specific question and you'll get a better answer.

sad

well, how do you create the graphics, what program do you use?

Raven

Hi there.

I guess it kind of depends on what you want to model, amount of detail, etc.. I've used a program called MM3D (Misfit Model 3D) which was relatively easy to use if you want to create simple models. I recommend you take a look.

See this thread: http://www.jpct.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=328&highlight=mm3d

so you download something from that webpage you mensioned in the thread you suggested, what do you download though from there? how do you get there?

Raven

The exact download URL is: http://www.misfitcode.com/misfitmodel3d/download.html (<-- Click this)

Other information you'll find on the Misfit3D website. Also, you can try googling for basic 3D modelling instructions. Although the modelling tools vary in features, most of them follow the same basic principles.

Listen to this. To create the 3d models you can either use the primitives or load it from a 3d file.

If you want a complex 3d object like a car, a person, etc etc etc, load it from a 3d file. You can make the 3d file with any 3d modeling software capable to export to .3ds (primary) or md2. Misfit is one of them, but there also exist strata studio pro, 3d studio max, lightwave, etc etc etc.

Once you have the model exported to a 3ds file, you can load it into java using jpct and its class called "Loader"

sad

so i downloaded both things, how do you run them?

Melssj5

Like any other windows software, find a exe file and do double clic over it. You may need to unzip it if its zipped!
