last thing i remember was Egon said there was some legal issues and game will not be available for a while. now it completely disappeared :o no forum topic, no entry in projects page  ??? i felt sad about it :(

i wondered what that legal issue was resulting in such a demolish  :-\

ToddMcF2002

Sad.  Sure its a fun game but also its a valuable technology demo for JPCT.

What a litigious society  :'(

certainly it was..

I've removed it to avoid unnecessary problems concerning the legal issues that there are. We'll see what will come out of all this...

It makes me sad! The Greedy Lawyers©® strike again.  :'(
*thinks* Oh no! I wonder if they'll get me for the 'Hunchy' game on my site?

cyberkilla

What a pathetic thing for them to do.

It is not like anyone would pay money to play a store bought version of the original,
when it is probably almost as old as pac man :o

It is a great game you made there, but I think we can all agree, it isn't going to cause them loss of earnings.
I hate it when they do this.

You released it freely. That means a few people have the source already.
They cannot stop the OS movement :D

Please respect my choice to withdraw it by not uploading it again and posting the link. I've removed the link from your post. Thanx.

Hold on, did you use any artwork from their game? Because judges on both the UK and the US have ruled that only the artwork and the source code are copyrightable. The games' ideas are not.

EgonOlsen

It used some tiny parts of the art work, some digitized sounds from the original and the level maps...as well as the name. If you change all that, it might be fine. But it wasn't fun to me any longer to deal with all this...i just wanted to make a fun game, not a legal mine field. So i decided to withdraw it.
